About NahuelHuapi.com

An independent guide to one of Patagonia’s great national parks, written for people who want to do it properly.

NahuelHuapi.com is an independent travel guide covering Nahuel Huapi National Park, San Carlos de Bariloche, Villa La Angostura and the routes that connect them — written to be genuinely useful before you go and while you are there.

What we cover

  • How to reach Bariloche by air, bus, car and the Cruce Andino from Chile.
  • Which tours are worth booking, ranked honestly.
  • What to see — from the Circuito Chico and the arrayanes to Tronador, the refugios and the Seven Lakes Road.
  • Where to sleep, from central Bariloche to lakeside lodges.
  • When to come, and what each season is actually like on the ground.

How we research

Journey times, park rules and seasonal patterns are checked against official sources such as Parques Nacionales, transport companies and booking platforms, and reviewed regularly. Because prices in Argentina change quickly with inflation and exchange rates, we deliberately avoid quoting exact prices that would be out of date within weeks — instead we link to live prices and give hedged ranges where they help.

Where we express an opinion, it is an opinion. We tell you when a tour involves too many hours in a van, when a cheaper option is the better one, and when the weather should change your plans.

How the site is funded

We are a GetYourGuide affiliate partner and a Trip.com partner. If you book a tour or a room through a link on this site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That is the only way this guide is funded — there is no advertising, no sponsored placements and no paid inclusion in any ranking. Read the full affiliate disclosure.

Corrections

Fees change, roads close, boats change timetables. If something here is out of date or wrong, please tell us — we would rather fix it than defend it. Write to us on the contact page.
