Villa La Angostura spreads along the north shore of Lake Nahuel Huapi, about 80 km from Bariloche by road. It grew around the narrow isthmus (the “angostura”) that joins the Quetrihué peninsula to the mainland, and it has kept a low-rise, wooded, garden-village character that many visitors prefer to the city.
It is the land gateway to the Bosque de Arrayanes, home to the family-sized Cerro Bayo ski area, and the southern start of the Seven Lakes Road. It also has some of the most beautiful boutique lodges in Patagonia — see where to stay.
